We believe that thriving businesses are not only the backbone of the NZ economy but also influential in shaping the moral, cultural, and spiritual direction of our nation.

At the heart of our mission is a vision: that New Zealand remains a nation where Christian principles are upheld in boardrooms, communities, and homes alike.

The Story That Started It All:
The Band of Brothers

This is the story that inspired us to start the Christian CEO Network

In the late 1980s, the world watched South Africa, waiting for a civil war that seemed inevitable. While politicians were deadlocked and the streets were in turmoil, a different kind of movement was stirring in the one place people least expected: the boardroom.

A group of Christian business leaders, led by figures like Dr Theuns Eloff and Christo Nel, looked at the crumbling nation and realised that "business as usual" was a death sentence. They knew they held a unique form of power (influence, resources, and a network that crossed political divides).

They decided to stop being spectators and start being architects.

Known as a "Band of Brothers" for their unwavering commitment to one another and their country, these men formed the Consultative Business Movement (CBM). They did not just pray for peace; they positioned themselves to create it. They leveraged their professional credibility to act as the neutral bridge between the apartheid government and the ANC.

When the National Peace Accord was signed in 1991, it wasn’t not the politicians who ran the machinery of peace: it was this group of business leaders. They used their logistical expertise to staff peace secretariats across the nation, effectively becoming the peacekeeping force that allowed democracy to be born.

Why the Christian CEO Network exists: We believe that when God places a leader in a position of power, it is never for their own sake: it is for the sake of the community. We are inspired by that South African Band of Brothers. We exist to equip modern CEOs to recognise their marketplace influence as a tool for redemptive change and place Christ at the head of New Zealand.
